About me
Janey Clark Counselling
About me
I am a non-judgemental counsellor, providing you with a safe, confidential space where you feel truly heard. I approach sessions with empathy, humility, and openness. This allows you to explore your past and present experiences, bringing insight into how these effect your life. I then support you to make shifts in your thinking and daily practices, empowering you to move forward in a purposeful and ultimately happier way.
Experience
I am experienced working with adolescents and adults experiencing anxiety, depression, stress and grief. I have a special interest in post-natal depression, life changes, parenting and relationship challenges. My life experience as a partner, parent, yoga teacher and therapist contribute to my counselling approach and finding solutions together.
Modalities & Qualifications
I mainly draw from person centred counselling and strength-based talk therapies. I integrate mindfulness practices and somatic movement in my work. Connecting the mind and the body is integral to my work. I frequently attend supervision, training workshops and seminars for ongoing professional development. I have a Bachelor of Counselling Degree and annual practising certificate through the New Zealand Association of Counsellors (NZAC).
